"Week 12 Reading Reflection"

Effective planning is essential to the growth and success of new ventures, which in return provide innovation, employment, and sales to the economy. According to research, strategic planning pays off.
1.     The biggest surprise of the reading was “Confronting the Growth Wall”. It is surprising to know that entrepreneurs face this, and sometimes they see as too large to overcome. This affects the process of handling challenges that growth brings about. Another section that came as a surprise was the differences between Entrepreneurial and Managerial Focus.
2.     A section that was confusing was the Entrepreneurial Matrix Model.
3.     Two questions I would ask the author would be:
a.     How close is the relationship between a manager and an entrepreneur?
b.     What is the best transition of becoming an entrepreneur from being a manager?
4.     There was nothing I disagree with author.

The reading was educative. Understanding how strategic growth is essential to the success of a new venture, and how different entrepreneurs take their success to a new level and others fall short.
