Florida Financial Literacy Program
This program is intended to target different segments of the population, from college students to minorities in low-income communities. The goal is to teach financial literacy to those who lack the financial background to make the right decisions for themselves and their families. Since we are a non-profit, we will be working closely with different communities around the state, and we will also utilize their resources to conduct workshops throughout the week.
What we will be teaching at the workshops:
• How to prepare taxes
• Budgeting
• Investing
• And retirement planning’
We will also create a blog where videos will be posted weekly on financial literacy. This one is targeted for the younger population, while the workshops will be directed toward the low-income communities who many not have internet access.
Ana,
ReplyDeleteGreat work. I just peer reviewed another students pitch that was very similar to yours and I think this idea is vey smart and I do believe it could be very successful! I would definitely take this workshop and watch the videos. I believe it could be helpful for anyone, especially college students like me! I am only a sophomore, but scary enough the real world is coming sooner than later and I want to be prepared for what is to come.

Very nicely presented. You sound very professional in your pitch which I think fits your idea perfectly. My idea revolved around leisure activity so I tried to be more laid back. I think your demeanor in your pitch is exactly what is needed to get the message across.

You did a great job with this elevator pitch! The non-profit program sounds very interesting and would be perfect for low-income areas. This program would help someone like myself also; I have no clue where to start with planning out my retirement. Your tone was very professional and appropriate for your idea. It would be great if you could go into a tiny bit more of detail when it comes to the workshops; but otherwise, you did awesome! If you can, please check out my elevator pitch at http://innovationnation101.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html.
