What Makes My Venture Special?
Even
though there is only one organization similar to my venture, I do consider my
Financial Literacy Program to be unique. We will be targeting many sectors of
the population that can benefit from this program. Even though our main focus
is minorities and young people, any one will be welcome to the program.
The
resources below will make my venture differ from my competitors:
Human
Capital: The network created with the Palm Beach School District
A.
Valuable: This
will allow us to have workshops in their high schools to teach financial
literacy to their students.
B.

organizations are allowed to work with high schools, but with the network
created, the partnership can benefit the students in Palm Beach County.
C.
Imitable: This
is hard to copy since not many people are allowed in the School District.

Non-Substitutable-
not necessarily. Other organizations work with students that will focus in
financial literacy, but it will not be a focus that is consistent.

the beginning of the venture. By working with organizations, I can target their

Leadership/Determination
A.
V: It’s
leadership. This project has been a dream of mine since the beginning of my
college years, and my determination to not give it up has allowed me to
continue the process of perfecting the program. It has a long way to go, but it
is something that can be done with the partnership of organizations in Palm
Beach County.

determination
C.
I: Others can
have determination

to complete this venture.

My
biggest resource is my own leadership and determination. This is a project I
have been working on for a while, and without me leading it, it would fall
apart because I know what I want, and I how want to serve my community. My
community is very important to me, and I know that without my determination, this
project would not become a reality.
Hey Ana! I think that the fact that you realized early on what it is that you want is a great start. Many people aren't sure of what they are pursuing (which is totally ok) and end up changing their minds a lot in the process. This can end up in time and capital being wasted. Nevertheless knowing what you want early on can help you streamline the process of developing your idea into a fruitful venture. You can always check out my blog here!
