Week 9 Reading Reflection

The marketing challenges for entrepreneurial ventures was an interesting chapter to understand. Marketing changes over time, and how demographics is looked at varies with each company, so it can be challenging for an entrepreneur to understand it. But there are ways to do say, such as the Marketing Research, which involves the gathering of information about a particular market.

1) Something that was surprising was the marketing philosophy. Currently, I am taking a marketing course, and I have not heard of the marketing philosophy.
2) One section that was confusing was understanding how the three major influences of the marketing philosophy interact with the three types of philosophy. In the text, it defines three different types of philosophies, and then it defines the factors of the marketing philosophy, but it does not explain how each factor affects each type of philosophy.
3) Two questions for the author: How do you see marketing affecting the new generation of entrepreneurs? How has marketing changed the way entrepreneurs see a venture?
4) There was nothing I disagree with the author.
