"Elevator Pitch No.3"

The feedback from my second “Elevator Pitch” has allowed me to consolidate my business venture and to understand how I can make my pitch stronger. Something that stood out was how my peers reinforced the need of financial literacy education for young people. Another comment that seemed important was where I would get the information for the workshops, and who would be the workers that would be educating my consumers on financial literacy. There was no feedback that seemed silly. All of my feedback was very constructive.
Based on my last two pitches, I changed minor things. On this last pitch, I added who would be the professionals who would lead the workshops, as well as the cost. Even though I mentioned in my Napkin Idea that this service was free to the public, I did not make it clear in my pitch. Also, for this pitch I concise my target market.

Good afternoon, my name is Ana Guevara and my business proposal is called Florida Financial Literacy Program. The program is a non-profit venture that is designed to teach financial literacy to low-income families, as well as young students.
This program will consist of workshops and a website where videos will be posted. The workshops will be lead by community organizers who have the information needed to perform and lead the workshops. We will consult with business professionals, and business professors to create a packet that each organizer will learn. Once a month we will have a speaker come in to share their own stories to the consumers.
Since we will be a non-profit, there will be no charge for those who will attend the workshops. We will be located in Palm Beach County, and we will utilize the resources provided by community organizations to reach our target market.
Thank you!

  1. Hey Ana! I love your idea for a non profit! I think it is really needed with low income families and young people stepping into the real world. The fact this is free makes it that much better! So many people don't know how to handle their finances and don't know where to stop. I love that you were professionally dressed for your elevator pitch and actually treated it like the real deal. I think that is very important! Good job!

  2. This is such a great idea! I really like how you also included a written statement of your video. I think financial literacy is one of the most underrated issues that is actually a huge factor in low income inequality. I learned about the importance of financial literacy and I think it's great that you're taking such a serious issue and shedding some light on it. Great job fixing things from the previous comments too and using them constructively! 3. Hi Anna!
I enjoyed watching your pitch and I think you came up with a great idea. I really liked that you would like this to be a non-profit organization as well and it is important to educate people on topics like this. I thought you did a good job when presenting and you did a good job incorporating your changes. Here is the link to my post: http://myent3003blog.blogspot.com/2016/03/elevator-pitch-no-3.html
